Therapeutic Approach

Depending on your presenting problem, a treatment plan will be developed for you based on the principles of behavioral medicine. Your treatment plan will take into consideration biological, psychological and social factors that have contributed to the development and maintenance of your symptoms. Therapeutic models used are primarily behavioral, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal. Treatment plans are developed based on what has been shown to be most effective based on the current research.

Office Policies and Fees

Sessions typically last 45-50 minutes and may be scheduled in advance using email, phone or at the conclusion of the previous session. Since scheduling an appointment requires reserving a block of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24 hours notice is required for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. Failure to appear for an appointment without 24 hours’ notice will result in a charge for the missed session equivalent to your usual session fee, payable prior to or at the beginning of the following session.

Fees are collected at the time of service in the form of check or cash. Although insurance reimbursement is not accepted at this time, your fee will be determined on a sliding scale based on your income. The advantage of paying out of pocket include increased control over the information in your medical records and in respect to the course and duration of your treatment. Please feel free to call or email with any questions regarding fees or reimbursement.
